Mavis

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

There always has to be someone gothic, and this list couldn't be any different. Mavis is the only daughter of Count Dracula, in the Hotel Transylvania franchise, a children's series that aims to revamp classic monsters, making them more innocent and fun, which resulted in a great first film, although the sequels weren't all that great.

Mavis lost her mother when she was still a child, when some villagers set fire to her family's castle in an attempt to kill her father. However, in this case, the King of Vampires is not an evil monster, and does not even drink the blood of humans, limiting himself to animals. Thus, the Dark Lord opened his hotel in Transylvania to protect his daughter and all other monsters from the hatred of men. Mavis was raised completely isolated from humanity for centuries, but on her 118th birthday (she was born yesterday) she asked her father to visit the village of men. The Count obviously wouldn't allow it, but he also didn't want to disappoint his daughter, so he creates an artificial village with the help of the monsters, to deceive her, making her think that humanity is uninteresting.

However, this farce ends up attracting a real man, Jonathan, who wanted to stay at the Count's castle. To get in, he disguises himself as a relative of Frankenstein. Dracula soon discovers the farce, but instead of throwing him out, he begs him to help him throw a worthy party for his daughter, since she was loving being with him.

The party is a success, but ends up being a disaster for the Dark Lord, because Jonathan kisses his daughter. At that moment, he saw the film of his wife's death playing in his mind again. Jonathan seemed to be a good man, but none of them were trustworthy. So, he throws the boy out of the Castle, but when he sees how depressed his daughter is about this, he crosses the country in broad daylight, even if he is burned by the sun, to bring the boy back, ending everything with a beautiful happy ending.

The character has beautiful features and also a very interesting plot, which involves forgiveness and acceptance of differences.

What some people may not know is that the character is based on another daughter that Count Dracula had in the movies, Countess Maria Zaleska, from the film Dracula's Daughter, from 1936, an extremely controversial work at the time, due to its themes that challenged the social standards of the period. Although the interpretation of the character in the plot is completely different, the visual part of both is quite similar.

Chel

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

DreamWorks' most seductive character, with a somewhat appealing look. Chel, the vibrant and cunning character from the film The Road to El Dorado (2000), is one of the most memorable figures in DreamWorks animation. She is a young woman native to El Dorado, whose intelligence and charisma make her stand out as a key character in the plot. From her introduction, Chel demonstrates a wit that goes beyond the stereotype of the "romantic couple" often attributed to female characters in animation. She is a natural survivor, who takes every opportunity to improve her situation, which is evident in her decision to ally herself with Tulio and Miguel, the protagonists of the story.

Aurora

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

The princess's birth was celebrated throughout the kingdom, and people and magical creatures from all over came to her baptism, including someone who was not invited, Maleficent. Angered by the king's neglect, the dark fairy cursed the princess, promising that on her sixteenth birthday, she would have her finger pricked on a spinning wheel and die. In a panic, the king asked the fairies Flora, Fauna and Merryweather to take her far away so that she would not be harmed in any way, while he confiscated and destroyed all the spinning wheels in the kingdom.

Almost sixteen years old, Aurora met Prince Phillip, with whom she fell in love, despite the fairies' reluctance. For years, the girl was lied to about who she was and why she was there, but as soon as she learned that she was the king's daughter, she demanded to be taken to see her father. Under pressure, the fairies take her to the castle, and at the first moment of distraction, the princess is bewitched by Maleficent, who makes her prick her finger on the wreckage of a spinning wheel. The girl spends days in bed, and the fairies realize that only the prince can save her. The young man is confronted by Maleficent, who transforms into a terrible dragon to try to kill him, but suffers a setback when Phillip stabs her with his shining magic sword right in the chest. Once in the castle, Phillip kisses Aurora, and their love brings life back to the princess's eyes, and they finally get married and live happily ever after.

Ariel

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

Even with all the perks of being the daughter of the king of the seven seas, Triton, Ariel has always been interested in going further and getting to know the world of men. Her interest becomes even greater when she saves a handsome prince named Eric. The young man is impressed by the beauty and voice of the mermaid, but still unconscious, he cannot remember exactly who or what saved him.

Despite her father's disapproval, Ariel goes to the lair of her aunt, Ursula, the sea witch. In a somewhat suspicious deal, the young mermaid gives her voice in exchange for human legs, so that she can go after her great love. If she does not get a kiss from true love within 3 days, she will become Ursula's hostage forever. A trickster, the witch changes shape and uses her niece's voice to enchant the prince, who discovers the plot at the last minute and kisses his beloved, putting an end to Ursula's plans. Enraged, she transforms into a terrifying sea monster, and is finally killed when the tip of Eric's ship pierces her belly.

Ariel is admired for her beauty, courage, and determination to follow her dreams, even if it means facing the disapproval of her father and her community. She is a strong and independent character who teaches that it is important to follow your heart and not give up on your dreams.

Elastic Woman

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

Elastigirl is one of the most iconic characters in the Pixar animated universe. Introduced in the film The Incredibles (2004), Helen is the embodiment of strength, grace and resilience. As a mother of three and a former heroine in a world that has banned superheroes, she balances her family life with a secret identity, while embodying an ideal of beauty that transcends stereotypes.

Visually, Helen is a work of art in motion. Her design blends elegant lines and a confident femininity that enhances her natural beauty. With well-defined curves, expressive eyes and brown hair that complements her vibrant personality, Helen is designed to be both powerful and attractive. The iconic, fitted superhero costume highlights her athletic presence and agility, while reflecting her essence as a modern woman who does not abandon her identity amidst her responsibilities.

Harley Quinn

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

The Princess of Crime first appeared in the animated series, in contrast to most of the characters in the Batman universe, who were born in the comics. Developed by Bruce Timm, Harleen Quinzel is a psychologist at Arkham Asylum who, from an early age, demonstrated her immorality, using seduction to get her teachers to accept her at the University. At Arkham, she was interested in the most insane minds, and without a doubt, the most sick mind there was the Joker.

The Clown Prince of Crime realizes the girl's mental fragility and slowly seduces her, until she becomes 100% dependent on him, even helping her escape from the Asylum.

Now a criminal, Harleen adopts the name Harley Quinn, given to her by the Joker himself. Originally, the villain lived a love-hate relationship with the Clown Prince of Crime, with Batman even managing to manipulate her against the villain. The Clown mistreated her in all the stories, and in the most recent versions, we see a more independent Harley Quinn, who even starts a relationship with another Batman villain, Poison Ivy. Many fans criticize her new look, considering it a distortion of the character.

Harley Quinn is sensual, from her costume to her physique, and this feature is explored in all the productions in which she appears, from cartoons to games, making her an undeniable presence on this list.

Astrid

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

Astrid Hofferson, the fearless warrior from the How to Train Your Dragon franchise, is a perfect example of strength and beauty combined in an inspiring way. From her first appearance, Astrid captivates with both the intensity of her personality and the grace of her design. A skilled warrior and born strategist, she is a potential leader who stands out among the young Vikings of Berk. However, it is her unshakable confidence and determination that truly make her a striking figure, radiating a beauty that goes beyond her physical appearance.

Physically, Astrid is the embodiment of strength and agility. Her braided blond hair and determined gaze reflect both her femininity and her combative nature. Her outfit, with details in leather, fur and studs, not only reinforces the Viking context, but also complements her look as a warrior ready for any battle. Astrid's design is functional and at the same time attractive, highlighting her athletic side without sacrificing the delicacy that is also part of her essence.

Gwen Stacy

Most Beautiful Characters in Animation

Gwendolyn Stacy appeared in issue 31 of The Amazing Spiderman in 1965 as a college friend of young Peter Parker who became a love interest after Spider-Man broke up with Betty Brant.

For many, Gwen was the hero's best companion, especially in the movies, where played by Emma Stone, she developed excellent chemistry with Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. However, as was practically made clear in Across the Spider-Verse, Gwen and Peter can never have a happy ending; one of them will always die tragically. The Night Gwen Stacy Died became one of Marvel's most iconic comics, where the young woman dies after being thrown off the Brooklyn Bridge by the Green Goblin, and Spider-Man fails to save her. In alternate universes, where Gwen is Spider-Woman, Peter is the one who ends up being killed, which is a cyclical thing in Marvel.
